July 28, 2014;

I will start by saying that this is going to be a really long post because so much has happened this last weekend because it was definitely a jam packed weekend for me, but it was absolutely amazing.  I will just make this out by days so that it is easier to decipher.

Friday (The day we designated for Brendan's birthday celebration)

I got up pretty early and headed to St. Louis so that I could get there relatively early since I didn't have any idea what we were planning on doing because honestly I didn't know anything about what was going on this weekend because Brendan planned it all out.  When I got to his house he was outside holding flowers, well not just flowers but lilies which are my absolute favorite. Like my mom said when I told her, he knows what I like.  He actually wanted us to go to the mall and go ice skating, mini golfing, and other things. We actually ended up just going out to have lunch at Lester's and then came back and took a nap because I was absolutely exhausted because I worked the night before. I felt kind of bad because I felt like I made the day kind of boring and we didn't do anything that he had planned but Brendan said it was okay.

For dinner we went to Katie's Pizza and Pasta with Brendan's mom and grandma.  Brendan and I decided that we were going to share a 6" pizza and some pasta.  It was the perfect amount of food after eating lunch a little bit late.  After going to eat we went over to Brendan's mom's house because she had cakes and stuff for both of us.  Brendan's cake looked like a mug of beer and then I had a cheesecake, which again is my favorite.  Then also his mom had cake pops for me and there were a few other things for the both of us. After leaving his house we ended up going to a comedy club where John Morgan (and another comedian whose name I has forgotten already) was performing.  It was absolutely hilarious, and I had a lot of fun.  It was late by then so we went to bed after we had gotten home.

Saturday (My actual birthday!)

Woke up around eight or a little bit later and we didn't do much except lay around until about ten and then we went to First Watch for brunch.  Now, I will say that most of the time I am not that excited about eggs.  I enjoy them every once and a while but never and I the one that is going to order an omelet because I just don't like them THAT much.  Well, except for today.  This place had an omelet that had bacon, avocado, and cheese in it and it was spectacular.  It came along with sour cream and a homemade salsa and it was just a beautiful thing! I ended up eating the whole thing and leaving the potatoes that came with it and that is something that I never ever do! Worth it though.

I think we are quite adorable!
After that we went to a place called Lone Elk Park in hope of seeing some bison and elk and deer and things.  It turned out to not be as exciting as we were hoping for and we only saw about five bison and then two elk.  It was quite uneventful.  I did take one picture of an elk with my phone, because oh yeah I forgot to mention... I forgot both of my cameras at home because I am an idiot and don't know how to do things.

Today seriously had to be the hottest days of all the days this weekend because that is how my birthday always it.  It is either ungodly hot or it is raining, there is never an in between of the two.  That is okay though.

We went home after that and spent some time there before we left for the concert.  Gates opened at 4:30 for the concert so we got there around four because I wanted to be able to get relatively close in line and in the pit once we got inside.  I ended up deciding against buying a t-shirt and I was rather proud of myself for that because I really really wanted one, but I knew that all it would be was another band t-shirt and I decided that I didn't need to build up my collection again after I had finally stopped wearing almost all of my other ones.

Anyway we ended up about three rows of people back from the front of the pit which was really awesome! It was so hot down in the pit though I was consistently sweating through the whole thing but it was totally worth it.  The only annoying thing was the girls that were in front of Brendan and I who only came to see one specific band and were insanely rude.  They didn't even stay for Panic! At The Disco which is kind of ridiculous.  They acted like they were so bored through all of the other bands that were before TwentyOnePilots and that just kind of annoyed me, but it's whatever.  Panic! At The Disco never ceases to amaze me with their show.  I mean I know that this was only the second time that I have ever seen them in concert but I still have to say that they still put on the best show that I have ever seen. I took pictures on Brendan's phone, but I still have to wait for him to send me all of the pictures.

After we left the concert it was about midnight and he hadn't eaten much of anything before going so we went to Taco Bell and then went back home, ate, and showered because we were both all sweaty and gross.  Also, we couldn't shower the next day because we had to get up early.

Sunday (Day we designated as our anniversary celebration - it's actually on the 31st)

So, we got put early and Brendan ate breakfast.  I couldn't do so because I can't eat right after I wake up or else it just makes me sick.  I had a granola bar in my purse that I decided that I would just eat later.  Anyway, we left for the Meramec so that we could spend the day together going zip lining and also going on a cave tour.

Well, that turned out to be a mess.  We could have definitely stayed on one road and gotten more sleep because we could have gotten there faster but my dumb phone decided that it was going to take us out to the middle of no where and I have absolutely no idea why it did that.  We ended up an hour out of our way in the wrong place where it should have only taken like 52 minutes.  It was quite the adventure though even though it stressed me out and it didn't bother Brendan.  Once we got back to where we had service we called the zip lining place and they got us there without any problem from where we were.  We actually weren't WAY out of the way but we were still in the middle of freaking no where and that bothered me.

Anyway, they moved our zip lining time back by thirty minutes.  This was something I said a few weeks ago to Brendan that I wanted to do but I didn't really expect to do it any time soon.  I guess that I was wrong! I was rather nervous about it, but it ended up being one of the most awesome things that I have ever done.  It was cool to be going over the Meramec and looking down it and everything even though I kept turning around in circles but it was really cool.

After that Brendan and I went back to Sullivan and had lunch at Steak 'n Shake and it was probably the worst service that I have ever had almost, at least in a really long time.  It took us forever to get our food which was really annoying because a six person table that ordered after us and everything got their food before we did, but it's whatever we finally got our food and ate before we went back to the Meramec and went on a cave tour.

Now caves are something that actually really kind of fascinate me just with all of the history that is in some of them and also just looking at the naturally formed structures that occur.  It was about an 80 minute tour and after that we just headed home.  We were really worn out so we took a small little nap and then tried to figure out what we wanted for dinner.  I finally suggested that we get take out and just go home and I have to say that was probably the best choice.  Our dinner was really good other than my chicken was a little dry but that's okay.  What I am most sad about was that this morning when I left I forgot my crab ragoon from yesterday which was so good! Then our fortunes were ones that seemed like we should have gotten either that morning or the day before which was funny.

Once we were done with dinner Brendan did a little bit of homework and then we checked to see if some of the books he had would be ones I could use in my classes.  I am able to use one of them which is really awesome.  Then we tried to watch a movie but I kept falling asleep in the middle of it so we decided to just go to sleep at around 9:30.

Monday

I left for home this morning when Brendan left for work.  I am pretty sure that I made it back faster than I should have, but that's all right.  I really haven't done much of anything today besides worked on this long blog post which I had to do in sections because otherwise I got really bored with it as well as go to work for four and a half hours which wasn't too bad because we weren't really all that busy.

I am about to head to bed now because I have to be up again at like 8:30 tomorrow because I have to get to work at 9:30 and I want to be up long enough to eat a little bit of breakfast before doing so.  I guess I get to bed right after finishing this.

To finish it off here's a quote as usual, and this time it is one that I feel like is what just happens a lot of times when I'm with Brendan, but I have to say it really isn't too bad of a thing.

July 22, 2014;

So today I had to wake up to get to work again by 9:30 after I got off of work at 10:30 last night.  I actually wasn't supposed to work until 4:30, but I switched shifts with one of my co-workers because he didn't want to get up that early and I was happy enough to switch because I was going to gain an extra hour of work.  I actually ended up getting another extra hour because my boss decided that she was going to leave because she didn't feel the best so I stayed an hour later and then my co-worker came in a little bit earlier.

After I got off work I came home and showered then Sara and I watched an episode of Grey's Anatomy and then we got our dinner started which was a whole chicken and corn and spinach salad with craisins and cheese. It was amazing, but while that was cooking I talked to my lovely boyfriend on the phone.  Anyway after we got off the phone I had that lovely dinner with Sara and we watched a little bit more TV and then we decided that we were going to go to see a movie.

Buuuuuuut we didn't go to the movie alone, we took our lovely friend Brittany (I hope I spelled her name correctly) with us and we decided to go and see Maleficent finally.  It was actually a really really awesome movie and I am so glad that I finally got to go see it even though we were planning to see it earlier that we got too I am just glad that it stayed in the theaters longer.

Anyway, now we are back home and watching Grey's Anatomy again.  I work again tomorrow at 3:30-7:30 and then close on Thursday and I absolutely can't wait for Friday! I am so absolutely excited if I didn't say that enough yesterday.

July 21, 2014;

So, I'm back. I mean I really didn't go anywhere on purpose but my computer which I had problems with that I thought we got fixed decided that I was going to completely crash and burn.  I am back though now because I finally got myself a brand new computer!

I have to say though it is going to take a lot of getting used to because it is a completely different system and I am not used to it yet.  Also, I just noticed that these keys are really super loud... that or I just type really loud which I have been told but for now I am blaming it on the keys.

Honestly there has just been so much stuff going on since I last was able to post that I don't even know what to say.  It hasn't been anything super exciting at least if there was I don't remember it so I don't really even know what to type about.  What I will type about is that fact that my twentieth birthday is in five days!!! I can't wait until Friday so that I can go to Saint Louis to spend my birthday weekend with Brendan.

Speaking of my boyfriend his birthday was this last Saturday so, happy late birthday to him (even though I totally told him that on his birthday so it wasn't late)! Also last Thursday I got to spend time with my best friend Danielle for the day which was nice because we never get to see each other and it will be even less once she goes to school because she is going to be almost three and a half hours away from me instead of the normal one hour distance between me and my home town at the moment.

Besides all that I don't really know what to say.  I will have all sorts of things to say after this weekend though because apparently Brendan has the whole weekend planned out for me along with the Panic! At The Disco concert that he bought tickets for me for back in like April! So that will all be very exciting and I absolutely can't wait, just have to get through four more days of work and then I will be on my way to have an AWESOME weekend.

July 6, 2014;

I just have to say that the 2nd was an absolutely spectacular day.  I guess that if I don't talk about what that day was though that sentence really won't mean anything to anyone who reads this except that it was a good day!

Anyway July 2nd was Warped Tour 2014 for me! I went with Brittani and her boyfriend Dakota.  We actually got off to a rough start because those two woke up late but it wasn't too bad.  We ended up getting there right as the gates opened and we were so far back in the line that we missed the first set of bands because it took us forty-five to fifty minutes to get inside finally.  It was okay though because we only missed bands that we didn't even know.  The first band we went to watch was The Ghost Inside, after that we were headed to go listen to another band and as we were walking by some of the merch tents I glanced over and saw Travis Clark.  That was when I realized that he was signing things for people and there was a line.  I allowed Brittani and Dakota to go on without me and I told them that I would catch up with them afterward because I had to meet Travis.  Honestly I had said before that my only goal for the whole day was to meet him and that I was willing to give up seeing anyone just to do so, seeing as it was the eighth time that I was going to be seeing them in concert.

Travis Clark and me! I think one of my most exciting moments ever in my life!
I started getting really nervous the closer and closer that I got.  Finally when I did make it up to being my turn it was fantastic.  I hugged him and told him how the day before six years earlier had marked both my first Warped and the first time that I had seen We The Kings EVER! He was like what took you so long to come back? I said actually this is my fifth Warped and I have seen you all play seven other times and this is the first time I am actually getting to meet you.  He goes "Wait, like the first time EVER?" I just smiled a little and nodded and said yeah softly.  He was like you totally deserve another hug for that! He told me about how he had to go out to the bus earlier that day and then he came around the corner there was a bunch of people and he couldn't just like turn back around because he had places to be, said it was like a the "wave" with people throwing their hands up and screaming.  So I got his signature, a picture and talked a little with him. Honestly meeting him was the best part of my day, I mean I had a SPECTACULAR time but meeting him was absolutely amazing and I am so glad that I missed seeing Yellowcard to meet him.  He was so laid back and just talked to his fans and that is something that you don't see sometimes anymore.  A lot of the time anymore they are just like signature, picture, NEXT! and that is all that you get out of someone.  It was really awesome to get to talk to someone who I'd say I have kind of idolized and wanted to meet for a total of six years and not felt like I was being pushed to hurry along.

Jordan from The Ready Set and I (I'm starting to get sunburned)
After that I just had to call my mom, I couldn't resist it.  I was shaking slightly from excitement and I told her all about it.  She reminded me to eat and drink (as she always does because I always get so excited at Warped!) and then told me to have a good day.  After that I actually went and got some food - which wasn't worth crap to be quite honest, and I went and found a decent seat for me Brittani and Dakota to watch Cute Is What We Aim For, I texted her about that and then we walked around a little because we had a short period of time before The Ready Set, which we came back for and got in the pit.  This is where you are going to hear the thing I thought I would never say in my life... I skipped We The Kings to watch The Ready Set.  I had my reasons though.  I had never seen The Ready Set and also both Brittani and I had low phone battery so we didn't want to split up and not be able to find each other again because that would have been horrible, so I sacrificed We The Kings for this one time, but don't expect it again.  While watching The Ready Set we kept getting pushed around which was rather annoying, but it wasn't the worst thing ever, I have been in worse.  After that we went and watched a band called Vanna with Dakota and then went back to see Anberlin.  They honestly weren't as good as I was hoping so Brittani and I went to hopefully meet Jordan from TRS but by the time we got there we ended up being way in the back and we had kind of given up.  We found out when This Wild Life was having their signing.  Then though we realized the line for The Ready Set had gone down.  Sadly by the time we got there it was pictures only so we at least got a picture with him, but it was still kind of sad especially for Brittani because he was like her top person to meet almost.

This Wild Life :)
We then went back to where most of the bands we were watching we playing actually, caught the end of The Maine's set and then we moved in closer to the pit once they were done so that we could watch This Wild Life.  I actually hadn't heard of them until earlier this year.  Though even with that being said I hadn't listened to any of their songs until that morning when Brittani played a couple for me.  They actually were really awesome.  We were right up close to the stage for their set and it was a lovely. After that we quickly raced over to meet them! Dakota went to watch another band while Brit and I waited to meet them.  They signed my backpack and took pictures with us.

After meeting them Brittani and I went and stood up by the gates waiting for Dakota because Brittani's phone died right after she told him where we would meet him.  It was getting chilly, especially with the wind blowing while we waited.  Once he got back we headed back out to the car, I finally realized how sunburned I actually was because I'm a dummy, and I handed Dakota my keys since I was going to let him drive home.  We just talked walking back, asked Brittani how her first Warped Tour was and if she enjoyed it.  We stopped for Denny's before getting too far away, though kind of wished we had stopped somewhere else because it wasn't be best of food that we have ever had, but it's alright.  Brittani bought my food rather than giving me gas money which was perfectly fine with me.

I just have to say it was an absolutely AMAZING day and I was glad to spend it with them.  It was only the second time that I had seen them both in person so it was just nice to finally spend time with him. Brittani and I bonded on the way their while Dakota slept and then it was vice versa while we drove home, so I feel like I got to know them both better on this day.

THEN... My amazing boyfriend came to see me on Thursday! (: He actually stayed until today and left when I had to go to work.  We really didn't do all that much the whole time we was here other than Friday the 4th we took a trip with Sara to Columbia for Taco Bell after I got off work.  We didn't even set of fireworks other than smoke bombs but that's okay.  Then Saturday before I went to work he took me to Chili's.  I have to say that I am going to get kinda mushy now.  I would like to say that I have such an amazing boyfriend and I know that sometimes we have some ups and downs but I know that we are good for each other and we see that every single time that we are together.  We don't have to do anything and still I smile and get butterflies whenever I see him smile and me or just look at me, he makes me happier than I expected to be by this time this year and I am so glad to have met him.  I know I have said all of that before, but I really don't care I love him to death.

Now I am finishing up this post that I actually started typing on Thursday but kept getting unbelievably distracted. Now I need to pack some clothes for tomorrow and Tuesday because tomorrow Sara and I are leaving bright and early to go to Lambert's because she has never been there and we are crashing at her parent's house afterward so we don't have to pay for a hotel.  We are leaving in less than nine hours so I really need to go and pack! (:

I has been an amazing last half week and I feel like I couldn't have anything better than I already do.
